Mary Kate Hartung
Mary Kate Hartung, a Wisconsin native, was heavily inspired in her younger years by her mother’s sign language sing alongs and Britney Spears’s sick moves in Baby One More Time. She knew at a young age she’d be living the life of a dancer, mover, and artist. A recent graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Mary Kate can now boast of her ability to integrate the tendus, time steps, and X rolls of class with the priceless knowledge gained from experience. In addition to her studies at NYU, Mary Kate has studied at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Dance Wisconsin, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and the American Dance Festival. She has worked with artists such as Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Kyle Abraham, David Dorfman, Doug Varone, and Michael Clark. Mary Kate is also a fierce advocate of peaceful negotiations and aged cheese.
