Andrew Harper is a freelance dancer and choreographer based in NYC. Most recently, he has performed with Hawaii Opera Theatre, the Glimmerglass Festival, Exit 12 Dance Company, and the Merce Cunningham Trust, and was a recipient of the 2013-2014 Kenan Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education. He has also performed in works by William Forsythe, George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Larry Keigwin, James Kudelka, and Susan Jaffe. Since making his NYC debut in 2014 at Lincoln Center, he has shown work at the Amalgamate Artist Series and the Green Space Blooms Festival and been commissioned to create work for the Columbia Ballet Collaborative. He has also choreographed in collaboration with the UNCSA School of Music, for students of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School ISP, for outreach performances at the Glimmerglass Festival, for exhibition opening galas at the Reynolda House Museum of American Art, and for The Cirkus Theatre Project (a UNCSA/Cirque du Soleil partnership). Harper holds a BFA in ballet performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
